Major in Environmental Studies (34 Credits Total)

Required Courses (16 credits)
Foundation Courses
All Environmental Studies majors must take the following:
ENSCI 100: Our Planet in the 21st Century (4 credits)
ENSCI 112: Our Changing Planet (3 credits)
URBST 252: The Changing Urban Environment (3 credits)
URBST 372: Fieldwork in Environmental Studies (3 credits)

Capstone Course (3 credits)
Environmental Studies majors will also take one of the following capstone courses (students may choose to take both, counting one as an elective).
ENSCI 373: Solving Environmental Problems
or
URBST 373: Special Problems in Environmental Policy

Elective Courses (18 credits)
Students will choose six electives from the list below, at least two of which must be in the natural sciences.  The list of acceptable electives will be expanded as new courses are developed. Other electives may be selected with the approval of advisors from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences or the Urban Studies Department.

Minor in Environmental Studies (19 credits total)
